Clock-stopping, transportive piano pieces recorded by the “Finnish-Russian artist, mystic, and largely self-taught pianist” at the age of 79 in 1978. I’m reluctant to smudge this one with too much language; it speaks so purely in its own tongue, I’d prefer to leave that field untrammeled. But know there is a beautiful booklet featuring Iowona’s striking esoteric drawings, along with ample text for those who need it. Simply gorgeous.
