Fantastic self-titled debut from the eight-piece UK post-rock outfit. I’m admittedly quite late to this (thanks, Michael, for the tip), but it’s the freshest thing I’ve heard on a “major indie” label in years. With elements of Midwestern emo, Appalachian folk, choral singing, & deconstructed rock, it veers from understated loveliness to emotional climaxes on the verge of collapse.
