Otherworldly faux-ethnographic folk music from two members of the under-sung underground Chilean group Glorias Navales along with Pablo Picco and Mark Harwood.  The press release cites a battery of instruments including “Chinese drum, ocarina, shakers, flutes, whistles, violin, bells, acoustic guitar, gongs, clarinet, n’vike, harmonium, Korg ms-20, moceño, tapes, owl flute and more.” What’s startling is the ends these variegated means are put to: a psychedelic avant-garde concrète that feels as natural as oil paint and as alien as the wildest abstract expressionism.
