Andrew Chalk is so prolific, and the music that he makes both under his own name and in groups like Elodie is so subtle, that it can sometimes feel difficult to grasp. (And that's part of its beauty, of course.) This collection of instrumentals feels more palpable than most—still ephemeral & fleeting, but also stolid, variegated, and fresh-scented, like a greenhouse full of exotic plants.
