Fantastic first solo album from Gothenburg’s JJulius, who cut his teeth in bands like Skiftande Enheter and the excellent Monokultur with his partner Elin Engström AKA Loopsel. Trainspotting aside, this is a delicious slab of melodic post-punk: limber bass, angular guitars, drum machine clatter, and deadpan vocals.
