Lovely repress inviting a re-encounter with Juho Toivonen’s first solo vinyl LP from 2023, his third release overall. He’s put out three more since then, including two on Gothenburg’s Discreet Music. The magic was already there on Kasveille ja Eläimille (“For Plants and Animals”), a dreamy drift of untuned piano, lo-fi synth drones, gentle field recordings, & plenty of tape hiss—an improved ambient music for those who could do without the sheen.
