A debut LP that’s hard to pin down. The songs operate by their own strange logic, eschewing verse & chorus in favor of more intuitive structures defined by forward motion. Kotonashiso has said the record was inspired by an attempt to “[imagine] the time when people started recording blues and folk songs on analog records.” He comes at this idea with a delightful obliquity, abstracting tradition & capturing the ghost in the machine.
