Woozy cafe minimalism from Kyoto’s mama!milk—in this outing, just the duo of Yuko Ikoma on accordion, toy piano, and music box and Kosuke Shimizu on double bass. Recorded live at the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa, the program begins with a steady patter of rain and drifts along in a continuous stream of slowly shifting compositions, wandering through modes of European expression like a 20th-century-music flaneur.
