Simply gorgeous settings of Lithuanian folks songs. The core trio of Merope—playing the kanklės (a Lithuanian zither) and bansuri (an ancient Indian bamboo flute) alongside guitar, synth, electronics, and bewitching vocals—is joined by a chamber choir and other guests for a set that feels both ancient and otherworldly. From fourth world mysticism to cloistral devotion, this is music of and for the spirit.
