Dublin’s Wah Wah Wino deviates from the dance floor with this infectious debut by Officer John. A bit of shoegaze, a bit of trip-hop, a pinch of Beta Band, the “Soon” side of MBV. Tempting to think you’ve heard it all before, and, sure, who wouldn’t like that? But even so, there is something ABOUT this one.
And I’ve learned to expect nothing less from Morgan Buckley, but his remix of “Stay” is something else.
