Dreamy, downhearted jangle pop from Richard—the latest moniker of Montreal’s Richard Wegner (Library L’Amour, Dj Medallion, Richard Lamb, ++). I was honestly a bit shocked to learn he came from an electronic background: these riffs and hooks sound like they could’ve only come from someone holed up in a bedroom for years with nothing but a janky electric guitar, a decent amp, a simple drum machine, and a stack of treasured records by the likes of Cindy Lee and Elliott Smith. Really good!!
