First vinyl release of music composed for a Kyoto-based multimedia performance art troupe in 1985. An engrossing sound world, clearly anchored in the minimalism & performance art of its time—Philip Glass, Laurie Anderson—but with its own jaunty, steam-powered, mechanical charm. This one has both a more pronounced connection to Japanese environmental music & more wonky circus energy. All in all, delightful, & very warmly recommended.
