TRJJ
Compilation "12 Dances"
Stroom
Germany/Belgium, 2019/2026
LP
By my count, the first official TRjj release, first appearing in 2019—though the label’s bio describes TRIIMusik as “a loose group based in Germany since 1998.” Loose is right. Dazed, fractured pop and plunky rhythm play, the faux-corporate ‘90s MS DOS aesthetics lending the whole thing a low-pixel-count surrealism that places it squarely in a world of its own. Back in print for the first time as part of Stroom’s 10th anniversary reissue campaign, it’s a heady blast from the future past.
FROM THE LABEL:
TRjj stems from TRIIMusik, a loose group based in Germany since 1998. As of now active members and guests include: Alepher (Singer, Programming), E.O.M. (Ambient), Fran Pon (Diverse), Max (Diverse), Max Stocklosa (Grafics), NOAA PMEL Earth-Ocean Program (Research), Wanda Holt (Percussion, Programming), Woerter unter Woertern (Percussion, Programming), ZOVV (Flute).
Surely written and recorded by TRjj and Max Stocklosa.
